Denman Barefoot Bowls Day – 16th March 2013

Saturday 16th March the Fitzsimons family travelled to Denman for a Barefoot Bowls Day organised by a committee of dedicated locals who had met Jamie at a wedding and wanted to support Nicole’s Foundation.

Denman is a small town of 2,000 people in the Hunter Valley with only four restaurants . However, they have a wonderful community spirit and are extremely generous. The day was very professionally organised with Nic Fitz Foundation stubbie holders, banners and shirts with Foundation logos . The warm weather allowed everyone enjoyed the bowls followed in the evening with Kate speaking about the Foundation then an auction and raffles. The committee had organised fabulous items to auction including Roger Federer tennise racquet, Knight for a Day footy package, weekend at Forster and many more.

Over $20,000 was raised by this amazing town! The Nicole Fitzsimons Foundation would like to thank the enthusiastic committee: Nathan, Sharyn, Zoe, Tahnee, Robyn, Jody, Blake & Jay as well as:

  • Denman Bowling Club for hosting the event
  • Grapevine Motel
  • Everyone from Denman that donated, purchased auction items or attended the day

The Nicole Fitzsimons Foundation are honoured that you held this event and look forward to working together in the future.
