City Beach at Wollongong hosted the inaugural Nicole Fitzsimons Foundation Colourful Ball on 23rd February. It was a fabulous night that honoured Nicole’s passion and love of life with great entertainment provided by:
- JL Dance
- Lyndell Harradine singing songs she wrote for the Foundation
- Interviews with Brett Morris and Ben Hornby
- Jamie spoke about the importance of travel safety and Kate made a presentation about the family and the Foundation’s goals
Dancing was started with Jamie, wearing the colourful lycra outfit he wore at Nicole’s 21st doing a solo followed by a conga line. Haim, from DJ Solutions, kept the dance floor packed all night. Those who were not dancing could enjoy the lolly station, bid on the silent auctions or visit the photo booth, kindly donated by Love and Laughter.
Thank you to everyone that donated prizes, bought tickets , auction items and everyone that attended. Approximately $13,000 was raised on the night. The Fitzsimons family felt so much love and support in the room that we could smile and dance for the first time since we lost our beautiful Nicole. Hope to see you all in 2014 at the next Wollongong Colourful Ball!
